From online registration and card payments to live standings and QR‑code results—Tournament Doctor is the all‑in‑one platform that runs your event from sign‑up to final payout.
Three new capabilities that transform how bowlers discover, sign up for, and follow your tournament.
Share one public signup link and let bowlers register from any device in under a minute. Auto‑accept entries or review each one, with built‑in waitlist, anti‑spam, and squad selection.
Bowlers pay their entry fee by credit or debit card at signup. You receive the full entry fee deposited straight into your bank account—powered by Stripe. A small 4% convenience fee covers processing.
Print one QR‑code flyer and bowlers scan it at the lanes to see live standings, brackets, side pots, and cut lines—all on their phone. Search by name, auto‑refreshes every 60 seconds.
Tournament Doctor is updated continuously. Here’s what landed in the most recent releases.
Bowlers can now create a free account and see every tournament they’ve bowled that was run with Tournament Doctor — across every director and center, not just one. Average, high game, high series, 200+/250+ counts, placement history, money won by category, bracket profit/loss, and a full event-by-event history with every game. They sign up with their USBC number and it links their records automatically. Bowler Login →
Charge a per‑season membership fee that’s added automatically the first time a bowler enters any event that season — singles, doubles, or team. Charged once per bowler, tracked on a dedicated Memberships page, and collectable online through your public signup or manually. Divisions can be exempted (skip youth, for example), and a Backfill tool grandfathers in bowlers you’ve already collected from outside the app.
On the public online signup for team events, a captain who picks “I’ll register & pay for the whole team” can type every teammate’s name, average, and age group right on the form and pay the full entry in one checkout. No chasing teammates down with join links — the whole roster imports together.
The Online Registration section of Edit Tournament now shows a QR code for your signup link. Print it on a flyer, put it up on a screen at the desk, or save it as a PNG to drop into your own graphics. Bowlers scan and jump straight to your registration page.
Pick a date and time for online registration to open on its own — until then, visitors see a friendly “Registration is not open yet” message and it switches on at your chosen moment. Each tournament now has its own time zone (Eastern through Hawaii), so “5:00 PM” means 5:00 PM your clock, and times shown to bowlers include the zone like “5:00 PM CDT.”
Upload your center or association logo on your Profile page (PNG, JPG, GIF, or WEBP up to 3 MB — transparent PNG looks best) and it prints in the upper‑left corner of your singles, doubles, and team standings reports, plus every bowler scoresheet. Every printout carries your own branding.
For team and doubles events with divisions turned on, the Optional Singles side event runs as a separate contest for each division — its own pool, its own paying places, its own winners. A 60+ bowler competes against 60+ bowlers for 60+ money instead of the whole field, and the payout sheet finally matches the division‑split standings.
The Lane Rotation Simulator now wraps around so no bowler runs out of lanes, uses your tournament’s own lane range instead of the whole house, and previews live as you tweak Start Pair or Advance. A new safety check verifies every starting pair for duplicate lanes across your games. Available on Register Bowlers, Register Doubles, and Register Teams.
From first strike to final payout, Tournament Doctor handles every aspect of tournament management.
Full support for singles, doubles partner pairing, and team/trios with configurable team sizes, per-bowler or per-team fees, and combined standings.
Complete bowler management with average tracking, USBC verification, and instant registration.
Geometric decay formula for smooth prize distribution. Round to nearest $5 or $10, customize per-place amounts, and adjust payout percentage—all from the report page.
Configurable points system with base points, per-position decrease, minimum points, cashing bonuses, major event flags, and stepladder bonuses. Group tournaments into series for combined season standings.
Duplicate any tournament's settings in one click for recurring events. Optionally keep bowlers with blank scores and side action for a quick restart.
Pull bowlers from any previous tournament for quick re-registration. No need to re-enter bowler info tournament after tournament.
Purpose-built support for Junior Gold and other youth events: U8 / U10 / U12 / U15 / U17 / U20 × Boys / Girls divisions, a configurable age cutoff (Aug 1 default), and scholarship-style payouts. Saved division presets, per-division standings, brackets, sidepots, blind doubles pairings, and stepladder finals all coexist on one tournament.
Charge a discounted reentry fee for bowlers who want a second qualifying shot, and record sponsorship dollars as Added Money that flows straight into the prize fund. Pool Summary, payouts, and financial reports reconcile automatically.
With squads enabled, brackets, side action, and payout sheets all scope to the squad you’re working on. The “All Squads” tab on Register Bowlers and a Squad column on the standings keep multi-shift events organized.
We understand the chaos of tournament day. That's why every feature is designed to save you time and eliminate errors.
Access your tournaments from any device, anywhere. No software to install, no files to manage. Your data is always backed up and available.
Handicaps, standings, sidepot payouts, eliminator cuts, bracket matchups, Big Dog winners, and blind doubles pairings—all calculated instantly as you enter scores.
Side events like sidepots, eliminators, Big Dog, and blind draw doubles all use the same tournament scores. No extra bowling required—bowlers opt in and the system handles the rest.
Standings, eliminators, brackets, payouts, and financials combined into a single print job from the Reports Center. No switching between pages.
See the full money picture: entry fees, lineage, expenses, prize funds by category, and whether your tournament is breaking even—all on one page.
